Comei Board of Directors
The membership of COMEI that includes board members, founders and other supporters form the General Assembly (GA) that is at the apex of COMEI governance structure. The GA has constitutional responsibilities of electing a new Board of Directors, recommending the development/ review of policies as well as approving audited books of accounts during its annual meeting (AGM).
The Organization has a Board of Directors that has the fundamental responsibility of providing oversight for the organization’s fulfilment of its goal, mission and vision as well as making policy and management decisions. Accordingly, the Board has the duty of setting the direction of the organization, providing financial oversight; setting policies and supporting the organization to generate resources to enable it implement its mandate.
The Board of Directors is guided by a tool designed to equip and facilitate good and accountable governance at COMEI as well as compliance with available procedures and policies.
